Taste of Home… Chicken Noodle Soup

What’s better on a cool spring day than some homemade Chicken Noodle Soup? All things considered, Chicken Noodle Soup does wonders for our bodies and helps build healthy immune systems. The broth and veggies are great sources of vitamins, minerals and other antioxidants helping us fight off viruses and aid in speedy recovery when we’re not feeling our best. Chicken noodle soup is also known to relieve congestion and thin mucus, who knew? Outside of its health benefits, my homemade soup is a go-to comfort food that just makes me feel good. HOMEMADE CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP
Ingredients:
Whole chicken
Chicken broth
Bone broth
Egg noodles
Celery
Carrots
Onion
Salt
Pepper
Parsley
Directions:
Cook whole chicken in chicken broth and bone broth. Retain broth once chicken is cooked. Remove chicken, allow to cool, debone and shred. Return to broth. Add noodles, chopped celery, chopped carrots and chopped onion. Feel free to add other vegetables (and garlic!) if you like. Seriously! Get creative, you can’t mess this up! Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately garnished with parsley. You decide, pair with crackers or without? Enjoy!
